ECOSYSTEM SHARE: Daren Thomas Magee

This week's share from my Small Business ECOSYSTEM directory is Daren Thomas Magee, the talent behind Real Fun, Wow!

Simplistic yet complex, dreamy, striking, and just beeauuuutiful. 👁✨️

Based in Ojai, California, he began sharing a drawing a day on Instagram and soon gathered quite a following. The next natural step was an online print shop! In the past 2-3 years, his work has expanded into tees and other wearables, notebooks, bedding and housewares, wall hangings, and little gifts (as well as collabos with carefully-chosen companies, such a fave of mine, @redcapcards. His book, "Real Fun, Wow! Collected Works Vol 1", makes for a great gift or addition to your home. Mine lives in my living room!

OK, I'm going to gush here – when I first found RFW!, I felt like I was sharing his posts almost daily...dreamy desert scapes, whimsical bodies with celestial heads, inspirational and true words accompanying the artwork, nature-inspired drawings, and hints of psychedelic journeys (now much more in the open and prominent) – all in muted, "natural" color scheme. There was clearly something that I (and thousands of other fans) was drawn to...The art was a statement and certainly had a *vibe*.

Because of Daren's consistent style, all of his pieces seem to be a part of a giant collection, so you really can't go wrong choosing a trio (or more) that go together!

Is it just me or do the text-based works remind you of the old fashioned advertisements in magazines and posters? Love it!
