For those of you who are new to me and this virtual space, my name is Rachel and I am a small business “beautifier” based in charming and thriving Denver, Colorado. My passion for supporting small businesses and artisans began when I was young and has only grown stronger as the years have gone by. In the age of instant gratification (AKA Amazon), I am seeing the importance of supporting your local “mom and pop shop” more than ever before. The retail mega-super-giant dominates the shopping scene and if our shopping habits don’t change soon, our beloved boutiques might soon be a distant memory. Already, so many of them are…

That is where my work comes in!

With my many years of work within the small business arena, my core specialties lie in space beautification (making shopping not only delightful and easy experience), branding/marketing and of course, superb customer service. In my eyes, any brand/business starting out (or trying to prosper) needs to succeed in all of these areas. They’re like peas and carrots – they just go together!

For this Journal, it’s my intention to share more about myself and my work, some biz tips along the way, as well as some of my favorite things (or businesses). It’s all about spreading the wealth, sharing ideas and helping small businesses/brands/entrepreneurs to flourish! Damn the man!
