Women in Construction Week

This week (March 5-11) is Women in Construction Week and one of my clients, who is in the construction business, asked if I could whip up a graphic to share on their LinkedIn page.

Why are women so crucial to the construction industry?
I found a few statistics you may find interesting!

• 8.5% of construction managers are women

• 10.9% of the construction industry is made up of women

• 24.1 % of engineering Bachelors degrees were awarded to women

• Different career paths in construction:

  • construction superintendent

  • construction inspector

  • architect

  • electrician

  • carpenter

  • construction laborer

  • project engineer

  • construction estimator
